Testing/ UAT Director - Global Bank - Core Banking migration

Our client is a leading financial services provider committed to delivering innovative solutions that transform banking experiences. We are currently working on a significant core banking migration project and are seeking a highly experienced Senior Test/UAT Director to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:
As the Senior Test/UAT Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing the testing and user acceptance processes for our core banking migration project. You will lead a team of testing professionals, ensuring that our banking system meets the highest standards of quality and functionality before going live. Your expertise will be vital in managing testing strategies, writing test cases for bank wise. risk assessments, and stakeholder communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies and plans for the core banking migration project.
  • Lead and manage the UAT process, ensuring that all user requirements are met and that the system is thoroughly tested.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Identify, document, and manage risks associated with testing and user acceptance.
  • Mentor and lead a team of testing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality assurance.
  • Report on testing progress, issues, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Travel to China as needed to coordinate testing activities and collaborate with local teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing UAT processes, especially in banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of core banking systems and migration processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal skills in both languages.
  • Willingness to travel to China for project-related activities.
