System & Database Architect

Job description

Role Purpose:

As a System & Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing and
developing end-to-end database schema and systems architecture.



A typical day in the Role:

Design and develop end-to-end database schema and systems architecture to
meet business needs

Implement and maintain database systems ensuring high availability and
performance

Monitor and optimize database utilization & operation costs, and provision
for future ready

Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and mandates

Collaborate with Group/ASWI IT teams for data and application integrations

Provide technical guidance and support to database administrators and
application developers

Develop and maintain documentation for database systems and housekeeping
procedures

Success will depend on:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related
fields

Business domain knowledge on SCM (Supply Chain Management), O2C (order to
cash), e-commerce, CRM, Business Intelligence and Data Mining

Strategic thinking on end-to-end data flow and database schema to ensure
AI-ready

Hands-on experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance

Strong knowledge of DBMS (Database Management Systems) such as SQL Server,
Oracle, MySQL, etc. and mainstream Data Warehouse/Data Lake solutions

Familiarity with data security and compliance standards

Good understanding of Oracle ERP, Microsoft D365, or mainstream ERP solution

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration
skills
