Senior Engineer (App Solution Architect), Insurance, 60k

Our client is a leading insurance company. In this position, you will drive company goals by advancing software engineering, DevOps, and IT solutions; promote quality, modern architecture, and engineering excellence. This is a one year renewable contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with enterprise and platform architects to translate strategic initiatives into robust, scalable solution architectures aligned with business requirements.
• Design and evolve project-specific architectures toward target-state patterns, including API-First microservices, event-driven systems, cloud-native deployment, and data lakehouse foundations.
• Champion architecture principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices via training, technical demonstrations, and cross-team presentations.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for system prototypes, proof-of-concept implementations, and innovation initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant technical experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Mastery of modern architecture patterns: microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and containerization.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred); relevant certifications advantageous.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, React
• Advanced skills in DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, continuous monitoring, and automated delivery.
• Proven track record in Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
• Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin (written and verbal).
• Experience in Generative AI and prompt engineering is a plus.
