Senior Accountant - Luxury retail

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including maintaining a full set of accounts, ledger entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and preparing profit & loss statements and balance sheets.

  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions.

  • Prepare financial and management reports, along with cash flow projections.

  • Coordinate annual audit processes and support year‑end closing activities.

  • Manage corporate income tax filings.

  • Oversee company insurance matters and support company secretarial tasks.

  • Participate in internal control reviews, internal audit activities, tax compliance tasks, and stock‑take exercises.

  • Support the adoption and rollout of digital tools to improve accounting workflows and operational efficiency.

  • Conduct UAT and support system upgrades related to accounting platforms.

  • Assist in preparing and analysing financial data for reporting, forecasting, and business operations.

  • Provide financial support to operational teams and business stakeholders.

  • Contribute to ad hoc assignments and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a sizable multinational company; experience in fashion retail is an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices in Hong Kong and Macau.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Concur; familiarity with SAP is a plus.

  • Self‑driven, proactive, and capable of working under pressure.
