Sales and Operations Manager - US Food Tech/ F&B (Start-Up)

Our client is a US Food Technology Start-up company with rapid growth in market share in the past 6 years. The company has a solid business expansion plan in Asia and European markets across B2B and B2C channels, and it's one of the market-leading food and beverage companies with its innovative and cutting-edge products and innovations. With HK as the regional hub, the company is looking for a Sales and Operations Manager as part of the key launching team member in Asia, to manage the daily operations via distributor management in HK.

Based in Hong Kong, you will oversee sales strategy and distributor management for the HK market. As a Sales and Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the distributor to develop the distribution networks - Key Accounts and Food Service channels in HK
  • Closely partner with a distributor to ensure smooth daily operations and achieve sales objectives with regular business review
  • Manage budgets, prepare and execute product programs, assess competitive environments and analyse results
  • Collaborate with the distributor to create new business and expand existing businesses
  • Formulate sales and business development strategies to drive sustainable growth
  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop effective data-driven business and trade strategies
  • Develop strategic business relationships, collect market feedback, conduct business planning, troubleshoot

To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • Degree and have 8+ years' experience in Sales/ Key Account/ Busines Development/ Distributor Management in the Food and Beverage product sector
  • Excellent team leadership/ distributor management skills, with experience coaching and empowering the team
  • Experience in Retail (Key account management) and Food Service channels is highly preferred
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, business acumen and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English and Chinese
