Project Manager - Leading Insurance Company

Our client is a leading insurance company, they are now looking for a high calibre Project Manager to join their fast growing and dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for projects from initiation, business case creation, approval, execution, till closure.
  • You will develop and manage business case, project plans, conduct baseline reviews, and monitor projects activities and contracts.
  • You will be accountable for the management and delivery of the programme/portfolio to time, quality and within approved budget.
  • You will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of on-going relationships with project stakeholders and internal users.
  • You will be accountable for successful execution of all aspects of business change delivery, including Target Operating Model implementation, BAU process changes, training and communications defining and managing business readiness prior to Go Live including Go/No go checkpoints.
  • You will liaise with control functions such as Risk, Compliance and Audit to ensure that solutions meet the company's regulatory and control requirements.
  • You will be accountable for providing regular, accurate and appropriate Change Reporting and communication to Sponsor and ExCo groups to ensure the status of progress and that any associated Risks, Issues or Changes are recognised, understood and managed, with the appropriate escalation when necessary.
  • You will provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, guidance and support to members of the programme team to enhance delivery, provide the necessary conditions for success and drive for improved levels of change delivery performance.

Requirements:

  • End to end PM experience (must have worked on business case preparation before the project kickstarts), diverse project exposure is preferred
  • Degree in business, finance, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years' experience in project management, with at least 3 years managing Business centric projects, preferably in finance, insurance or healthcare industry
  • Experience in managing process revamp, upgrade, IT projects or vendor management for project delivery
  • Experience in working with modern and legacy technology, including cloud infrastructure, Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (SaaS) environments
  • Possession of PMP, Prince 2, Agile or Scrum Master is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communications, critical thinking skills, effective interpersonal skills, and strong formal presentation abilities
