Manager, Fraud Management

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to strengthen AML mule control and fraud transaction monitoring, ensuring effective incident coordination.
  • Assess current and emerging fraud and AML risks, and drive the design and implementation of mitigating controls.
  • Serve as the first line of defense, advising business units on risk appetite, prevention strategies, and control measures.
  • Develop and maintain management information (MI) reports to highlight trends and control effectiveness for senior leadership.
  • Evaluate existing controls, identify gaps, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement improvements.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Support new business initiatives by assessing associated risks and coordinating control design with stakeholders.
  • Monitor the performance of existing controls and escalate deficiencies as needed.
  • Assist in managing incidents and customer issues, providing feedback and insights to senior management.
  • Contribute to the operational efficiency of the risk management function.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc requests from leadership and business units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial services, preferably in retail banking and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of AML, fraud risk management, and investigative procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese.
  • Experience with programming tools such as SQL, SAS, or Python.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies or experience in dynamic risk management environments.
