Job description

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Deployment & Administration

  • Set up, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 tenants, including initial provisioning and ongoing administration.
  • Manage core M365 workloads: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, and Security/Compliance features.
  • Implement and manage Azure AD / Entra ID, including MFA, conditional access, identity governance, and app integrations.
  • Configure domain services, DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and ensure mailflow reliability.

Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Microsoft 365 issues across identity, messaging, and collaboration platforms.
  • Troubleshoot identity sync issues (Azure AD Connect), Teams calling problems, SharePoint permissions, and mail delivery issues.

Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Implement Microsoft 365 security best practices (Conditional Access, DLP, Defender for Office 365, Secure Score improvements).
  • Support compliance initiatives, governance frameworks, and security reviews.

Automation & Optimization

  • Use PowerShell to automate repetitive administrative tasks and produce operational reports.
  • Develop scripts for onboarding/offboarding, bulk updates, and system monitoring.

Documentation & Communication

  • Produce clear, accurate documentation for procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a simple, customer‑friendly manner.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience administering or supporting Microsoft 365 environments.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Security/Compliance.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and administering Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Understanding of:
    • Identity and access management
    • DNS (MX, TXT, CNAME, SRV records)
    • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls)
  • Experience setting up and configuring new Microsoft 365 tenants.

Automation

  • Proficiency with PowerShell for automation and administration.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Certifications such as MS-900, MS‑102, AZ‑104, SC‑300, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Intune, hybrid Exchange, Defender suite, or cloud migration projects.
