IT Governance Manager (Banking)

Job description

Responsibilities:
* Lead the initial phase of IT projects, which involves conducting technical feasibility studies, comprehensive evaluations, and assisting business users in project justification and prioritization.
* Develop comprehensive plans for IT-related projects, encompassing scope, schedule, cost, resources, security, quality, and communication, aligned with project objectives.
* Monitor and oversee the execution of IT projects, resolving any issues related to scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, security, and risk.
* Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve technical issues within projects, considering project progress, quality, and risk factors.
* Ensure adherence to system development standards, architectural guidelines, and security controls during system implementation.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure project scope, schedule, cost, and progress align with planned objectives.
* Support relevant IT teams in resource and schedule planning, as well as resolving associated constraints.
* Manage all project-related budgets and costs, both internal and external.
* Coordinate with vendors to ensure project delivery occurs as planned.
* Maintain training materials and conduct user training sessions.
* Comply with all relevant regulations, rules, codes, guidelines, and standards set by regulators and the organization, while performing duties with utmost integrity.
* Adhere to established risk control guidelines, procedures, and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate, and monitor risks in day-to-day work.
* Carry out any other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:
* Hold a university degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
* Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management and application development, including at least 2 years as a project manager and 3 years as a systems analyst.
* Demonstrate solid experience in Systems Development Life Cycle (Waterfall) and project management methodologies, with experience of end-to-end project delivery.
* Exhibit proficiency in vendor management for IT projects.
* Familiarity with IT process improvement and the development of policies and procedures.
* Knowledge of CMMI, Jira, and Confluence is advantageous.
* Capable of working both as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently, effectively organizing workload, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines in a flexible environment.
* Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas using appropriate terminology for diverse audiences.
