About the Role:

  • Spearhead the creation and execution of dynamic product range strategies, powerful brand positioning, and groundbreaking new product launches to fuel business expansion and strengthen market leadership.
  • Proactively uncover high-potential market segments and evolving consumer trends to introduce forward-thinking, high-margin product categories.
  • Oversee sourcing, supplier selection, cost negotiations, margin optimization, and sales strategy to ensure peak commercial performance across assigned product lines.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term supplier alliances to maximize business leverage and consistently secure premium trading terms.
  • Lead high-impact negotiations with a focus on achieving superior outcomes and sustaining long-term profitability.
  • Develop and implement agile pricing strategies grounded in market insight-optimizing margins while maintaining competitive market positioning.
  • Partner closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to craft and execute compelling promotional campaigns that captivate customers and elevate sales.
  • Continuously monitor sales velocity, stock levels, and inventory turnover to ensure balanced supply across all channels and warehouses.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and business planning cycle-translating strategic vision into actionable targets, KPIs, and measurable success for the trading division.
  • Mentor and manage a high-performance trading team, fostering a culture rooted in ownership, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About the Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A proven track record of 10+ years in a senior merchandising or trading role within the retail industry.
  • Exceptional people management skills with the ability to energize, engage, and elevate team performance.
  • Expert at transforming market data, consumer behavior insights, and performance analytics into smart strategic decisions.
  • Advanced negotiation and supplier management expertise backed by strong business and financial acumen.
