Digital Business Analyst, Banking, 38k

Job description

Our client is a leading bank based in Hong Kong. You will help define business requirements, create user stories, support product development (especially in personal loans and card loans), and work closely with UX, Engineering and QA to deliver smooth end‑to‑end journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare business requirements for digital banking projects across mobile app, internet banking, public website, and other channels.
  • Support idea generation through customer research, market review, competitor analysis, and customer‑journey mapping.
  • Create business epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, using data insights to shape requirements.
  • Help manage digital product development, with a focus on unsecured lending (personal loans and card loans).
  • Ensure all digital releases meet user needs by supporting sprint activities, UAT, live testing, and post‑launch checks.
  • Work closely with UX, Engineering, Architecture and QA to deliver smooth end‑to‑end user experiences.
  • Conduct impact analysis and feasibility studies to support front‑end and back‑end solution design.
  • Produce and refine product content across Mobile, Internet Banking, Public Website and Digital Messaging to improve user engagement.
  • Monitor funnel performance, analyze data trends, and recommend ongoing UX improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and good risk awareness.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in requirements management for digital transformation, ideally in lending or cards.
  • Solid understanding of digital platforms and online customer journeys.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to highlight risks and blockers when needed.
  • Knowledge of design thinking, customer‑centric design and Agile ways of working.
  • Able to balance risks, effort and benefits to improve customer experience and cost efficiency.
  • Creative, proactive, and open to new technology and challenges.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of retail banking, especially personal loans and cards, is an advantage.
