Desktop & Infrastructure Support Specialist

Job description

We are seeking a technically skilled and bilingual IT professional to join our global IT team as a Desktop & Infrastructure Support Specialist. This role is critical in providing first and second-level support to end-users while assisting in infrastructure maintenance and projects. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese to support our regional operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Desktop Support (Primary Focus - 80%)

  • Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, AV systems, and peripherals in a corporate environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and business application issues for end-users, including VIP/executive staff.
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding processes, including workstation setup, account provisioning, and access management.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain IT hardware (e.g., desktops, printers, IP phones, video conferencing systems).
  • Install, update, and patch software, ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for IT equipment procurement and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and assist in equipment lifecycle management.
  • Document support procedures and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Infrastructure Support (Secondary Focus - 20%)

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining server, network, and backup systems.
  • Support Cisco/MS Teams VoIP systems and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrade projects (e.g., hardware refreshes, security patches).
  • Perform system health checks and generate performance reports.
  • Collaborate with regional IT teams on cross-office initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong expertise in Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and desktop troubleshooting.
  • Experience with basic networking, Active Directory, and IT ticketing systems.
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (verbal & written) - mandatory.
  • Prior exposure to Cisco telephony, MS Teams, and IT asset management is a plus.
