Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with both internal and external data to evaluate and support the implementation of business strategies
• Identify data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
• Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection and cleaning, and exploratory data analysis including utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
• Drive automation across various platform / application using Python / RPA / equivalent tools to increase the team productivity/efficiency
• Build processes and policies supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and data dictionary across the pipeline
• Convert SAS based pipelines into languages like Python to execute on Hadoop and non-Hadoop ecosystems
• Ability to research and assess open source technologies and components to recommend and integrate into the design and implementation

Job Requirments:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analystics, Statistics, etc
• At least 1 year of relevant work experiences, fresh graduates are also welcomed
• Experienced in working with large and complex datasets, data warehouses using programs and coding
• Proficient in SAS, SQL, Python ot equivalent
• Obtain storng development or automation skills
• Knowledge of data management, data governance and data secuirty is a plus
• Konledge of agile methodology is a plus
• Experienced in visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus
• Good communication skills and fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
