Commercial Director - Hospitality

About the Role:

  • Architect and lead a dynamic commercial strategy that aligns with both hotel and brand objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Revenue and Director of Marketing Communications to deliver cohesive and high-impact strategies.
  • Champion an analytics-driven culture, transforming insights into forward-thinking commercial tactics.
  • Direct pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies across all segments to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze market & competitor intelligence to ensure the hotel remains agile, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
  • Regularly review market share and RevPAR performance to identify growth opportunities and ensure optimal business mix.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Offices, Corporate Revenue, and Marketing & Communications teams to develop unified sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Conceptualize innovative campaigns and offers that resonate with diverse high-value markets and guest segments.
  • Support the execution of strategic partnerships, events, and brand collaborations that drive awareness and demand.
  • Manage the hotel's commercial budget and ensure efficient allocation of sales and marketing resources.
  • Contribute to the hotel's annual budget, forecasting, and marketing plan in collaboration with key department heads.
  • Assess ROI across channels, optimizing spend for superior returns.
  • Leverage cutting-edge tools and systems to enhance performance insights.
  • Foster a high-performing team environment - mentoring commercial talent to deliver impeccable results.
  • Stay attuned to future trends in luxury travel, technology, and guest behavior to guide forward-looking strategies.

About the Candidate:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in luxury hospitality or a corporate environment, with a proven record in sales, marketing, and revenue management.
  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • A strategic thinker, commercially astute, and inspired leader who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management, analytical judgment, and creative problem-solving.
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with polished executive presence.
