Brand Director (Retail | 1.3 mil base max)

Job description

My client is market leading retail brand. Looking to enhance their brand function, they are now in search of a Brand Director.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects and strategies of brand, including sales & marketing, category management, brand management and product development
  • Conduct strategic category management according to brand and products' value, type, volume and performance to maximize brand's performance
  • Work closely with business intelligence and product development teams to ensure product development timeline and new products' success
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, competitor activities and feedback to identify opportunities and challenges for our brand.
  • Lead and manage successful brand campaigns, product launches, and category initiatives that deliver results and increase brand awareness, loyalty and equity.
  • Communicating, presenting, negotiating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to influence and achieve brand objectives.
  • Using data and insights to drive action and innovation, and to solve problems and make decisions for our brand.

To qualify, one must possess

  • Degree holder with at least 15 years of brand management experience across the retail or consumer sector
  • Strong category management experience and experience working on new product development
  • Proven track record of sales & marketing management with full P&L ownership
  • Strong team management experience
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with good business sense and market insight
  • Good communication, presentation and problem solving skills
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
