Assistant Procurement Manager (Hardware | 50 - 55k)

Job description

My client is well known engineering company. Looking to enhance their procurement function, they are now in search of an Assistant Procurement Manager.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead procurement process from evaluating proposal, negotiating contract and stake holders management
  • Develop and maintain business relationship with key suppliers in the category
  • Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify market trends and develop relative procurement direction / strategy to better achieve business objectives accordingly
  • Develop category procurement strategy and proactively manage costs while maintaining quality and achieving business objectives
  • Collaborate with relative internal stake holders such as engineering, customer experience etc to ensure effective procurement activities
  • Drive innovation and process improvement in the category through introduction of new suppliers, technology or SOP

To qualify, one must possess

  • Degree holder with at least 5 years of procurement experience
  • Experience with procurement managing over hardware, machinery, engineering etc
  • Strong stake holder management experience
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
