Assistant Human Resource Manager

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

About the company

Our client is a globally luxury retail company, they are currently looking for a Human Resources Assistant Manager to support the HR team and planning the HR strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct report to HR Director, Greater China
  • Develop and implement human resources strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Assist the HR Director all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll, training and development, and HR operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and address current and future HR needs, contributing to strategic decision-making and organizational development.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in HR management.
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent, including recruitment, selection, and employer branding.
  • Handle the payroll process for Hong Kong region, oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable practices and supporting employee well-being.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven 5 years experience as an HR leader, preferably in a similar industry or organization size.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, payroll, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
