Assistant HR Manager - Financial Services (6 months)

Job Summary:
The Assistant HR Manager is responsible for supporting the full spectrum of HR functions and activities for the Hong Kong, United States, and United Kingdom subsidiaries of the organization. They play a key role in talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, visa applications, and external affairs. The Assistant HR Manager also contributes to the formulation and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures, and leads HR projects and programs. Additionally, they provide administrative support, including drafting official documents, scheduling meetings, and handling ad hoc assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Support various HR functions and activities, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, visa applications, and external affairs.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Lead and develop HR projects and programs, such as employee engagement initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and training and development initiatives.
  • Draft and modify official documents, including correspondence, memorandums, and reports. Schedule and coordinate meetings and conferences, and prepare meeting minutes when necessary.
  • Handle ad hoc assignments as required, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of related experience, with previous exposure in a Chinese financial institution being a plus.
  • Employment Regulations: Well-versed with employment regulations in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
  • Proactivity and Detail Orientation: Proactive mindset, attention to detail, well-organized, and responsible, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong team working spirit.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer use, including office software applications (MS Office) and Chinese word processing.
