UX Researcher, Regional Bank

Job description

What You'll Do:

  • Lead user research initiatives using interviews, surveys, usability testing, and more to uncover insights specific to banking products and services.
  • Translate complex data into meaningful recommendations that enhance user experience across digital platforms.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams-designers, product managers, and stakeholders across regions-to ensure research is localized and aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and experience prototypes that reflect the needs of banking customers.
  • Present findings and strategic insights to influence design and product decisions.
  • Stay ahead of UX trends and behavioral science practices within the financial industry.
  • Manage external research vendors and facilitate design workshops when needed.
  • Support occasional ad hoc tasks as part of a dynamic team.

What We're Looking For:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years leading end-to-end research projects.
  • Deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods-know when and how to apply usability tests, interviews, card sorting, and more.
  • Proficiency with tools like Figma, FigJam, Miro, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese, with the ability to educate and engage teams on research insights.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
