Project Manager/ Scrum Master - Insurance

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple Agile teams or a large-scale program, ensuring consistent delivery of high-value outcomes.
  • Champion Agile principles across the organization, influencing senior stakeholders and fostering a culture of agility.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure teams are empowered, focused, and continuously improving.
  • Act as a servant leader and Agile coach to Product Owners, Developers, and Business stakeholders.
  • Drive Agile metrics and reporting to inform decision-making and improve delivery performance.
  • Identify and resolve systemic impediments, collaborating with leadership to remove organizational blockers.
  • Support enterprise-level Agile transformation initiatives and contribute to the Agile Center of Excellence.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with insurance industry standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM II or III), or SAFe Scrum Master.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years in a senior or enterprise-level role.
  • Proven experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) and Agile delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).

Preferred:

  • Experience leading Agile transformation or coaching at scale.
  • Familiarity with insurance-specific regulations (e.g., IFRS 17, Solvency II, HKIA guidelines).
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
