Project Manager, Insurance, 65k - 70k

Job description

Our client is a leading insurance company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the initiation, mobilization and execution for initiatives prioritized in the Strategic Planning cycle.
  • Provide end-to-end 'hands-on' project management over assigned initiatives.
  • Work with project sponsors and Business stakeholders to prepare business case, lead the discussion with enablers and drive the approval from EXCO
  • Track and report program updates (e.g. progress, financial, risk and issue) and present in various senior management forums (e.g. Project Steering Committee) and for PMO reporting.
  • Coordinate vendor sourcing process including, but not limited to, RFP preparation, SoW preparation, review & sign-off, etc
  • Lead project managers/tech lead from vendors or off-shore delivery team management to coordinate, mobilize and execute with internal IT functional departments
  • Ability to anticipate project risks and put forth mitigation to address promptly and accordingly. Address identified issues with laser focus in executing/enforcing resolution promptly. Ability to mapped out intra and inter project dependencies to ensure risk and issues are assessed holistically
  • Manage change management process to ensure project changes are managed properly and transparently executed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or above in business management or STEM related disciplines
  • 8-10 years of working experience in consulting, business operation, or project management, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Experience of working in a banking or financial services environment on large complex change projects, particularly those implementing digital and other cutting edge tech solutions.
  • Experience in working with diverse teams of different work streams
  • Ability to think innovatively and find creative solutions, with a proactive problem solving approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills both written and verbally
  • Experience working in Agile, or knowledge of the key principles of the methodology
  • Self-starter, who can work pro-actively with minimum supervision
  • Goood command in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
