Product Owner, Insurance Underwriting

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead underwriting-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product ownership, with additional experience in project management. This role requires close collaboration with global stakeholders, so flexibility for early morning or evening calls is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for underwriting initiatives.
• Gather and prioritize business requirements from global stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into actionable user stories and manage the product backlog.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while managing scope and risks.
• Act as the primary liaison between business units, technology teams, and external partners.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and promote best practices in product and project management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in insurance or financial services.
• Solid understanding of underwriting processes and systems.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Comfortable working across time zones and participating in early morning/evening calls.
• Agile certification (e.g., CSPO, PMI-ACP) is a plus.
