FIX Connectivity Engineer - Short term project (Buy Side)

Job description

We Need: A sharp FIX Connectivity Engineer for a short-term, high-impact project to migrate our FIX connections to a new vendor platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing FIX sessions, workflows, and configurations with our current vendor.
  • Design, configure, and implement new FIX connections using the new vendor's platform.
  • Work directly with the new connectivity vendor's technical teams to resolve integration issues.
  • Coordinate with internal trading, quant, and development teams to ensure a seamless cut-over with no disruption to trading.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (unit, integration, certification) to validate all FIX flows (order entry, execution reports, market data).
  • Create clear documentation of the new setup and configurations.

You Are:

  • An expert in the FIX protocol (4.2/4.4) and FIX log analysis.
  • Someone who has direct experience migrating FIX connections between vendors (e.g., Itiviti, Bloomberg, LMAX, Ullink).
  • Proficient with scripting (Python/Bash) for automation.
  • A clear communicator who can manage vendor relationships and internal stakeholders.
  • Available to start soon and focus on this project until completion.
