Business analyst (testing/QA) - Banking

Job description

Key Responsibilities:



Business Analysis:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Document functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to clarify business needs and priorities.
  • Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on business requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar.
  • Coordinate with developers and business users to resolve issues and validate fixes.
  • Support project planning, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Testing analyst in banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA processes.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in digital banking, payments, or core banking systems.
  • Cantonese/Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
