Business Analyst (25-35K)

Job description


  • Provide business analyst support to the Product Management team on product market research and to develop commercialisation cases
  • Research market opportunities for external products which includes shifts in market dynamics, policies, tipping points which may drive market gaps.
  • Produce management briefs and analysis on relevant topics and written reports and proposals on various study areas
  • Special focus on medium to longer-term digital opportunities and business models which is complementary to the team's shorter-term and immediate deployment opportunities


  • Recognised university degree in Energy, Engineering, Business Administration, and other applicable fields
  • 2 years or more of suitable exposure and experience in energy, engineering, technology or digital product development and business analysis
  • Ex-consultant or energy market expert or inhouse business analyst (non technology) or strategy are preferable
  • Solid understanding of the Chinese energy markets especially on national and provincial regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and commercial skills, with ability to build high level financial models to support the product business case development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in fluent/native English
  • Capability in both spoken and written Chinese (Putonghua and simplified Chinese) is required.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently to perform in a dynamic, multi-cultural, matrix organisation and influence outcomes.
