Banking | UX Researcher
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research through various methods-including interviews, surveys, and usability testing-focused on banking products and services.
- Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to uncover insights that inform the design of intuitive and user-friendly banking applications.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers across different cities to understand operational workflows and customer needs, ensuring localized, user-centered designs that comply with industry regulations.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and experience prototypes tailored to the needs of banking customers.
- Present research findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in behavioral science and UX research within the banking sector.
- Manage external research vendors and facilitate design workshops as needed.
- Support ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years leading end-to-end research studies (planning, recruiting, execution, and analysis).
- Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, card sorting, and tree testing, with a clear understanding of when to apply each method.
- Proficient in collaboration, design, and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, FigJam, Miro).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Cantonese, with strong facilitation abilities to educate teams on user research.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and problem-solving capabilities.
