Accountant / Assistant Accountant

The Company

Our client is a world leading multinational corporation specializing in luxury goods. It has over 75 prestigious brands and 150 thousand employees over the world. They are hiring an accountant specializing in GL function. This role will take care of the Southeast Asia Pacific Region account and report to a GL Manager of the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting entries for General Ledger in Southeast Asia Pacific Region which includes Malaysia, Singapore and Australia
• Finalize with Accounting Officers to handle daily AP and AR tasks
• Review bank reconciliation and complete monthly closing
• Prepare monthly trial balance review and related schedules
• Prepare inventory reconciliation and maintain fixed assets register
• Draft monthly accruals report for Business Planning team
• Perform monthly management report
• Assist in preparation of various tax reporting and audited financial statements
• Participate in statutory audit

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, CPA qualification is a plus but not necessary
• Minimum 3 -4 years' relevant experience, preferable Full Set Account experience
• Strong communication skills, detail oriented and independent
• Good command in Cantonese and English (both written and spoken)
