Working Capital & Collections Lead - International Law Firm

We are partnering with a leading international law firm to hire a Working Capital & Collections Lead for their growing regional team. Supporting partners across APAC, this key professional will optimize working capital performance, streamline end-to-end billing execution, and provide commercial insights to drive firmwide efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle legal billing, WIP tracking, pre-bill reviews, and e-billing uploads across APAC jurisdictions.

• Partner directly with Practice Heads to structure fee arrangements, rate negotiations, trust balances, and write-off management.

• Manage credit control frameworks and bad debt mitigation to optimize cash conversion cycles.

• Ensure regulatory compliance across regional jurisdictions for tax, VAT, and legal billing operations.

• Oversee trust account reconciliations, client retainers, and complex multi-office billings.

• Utilize advanced legal practice management systems to supply action-oriented financial data to senior management.

Requirements:

• Possess 3 to 5 years of legal billing, credit control, or working capital experience within professional services or B2B environments.

• Demonstrate a proven track record managing end-to-end legal billing operations and matter lifecycle workflows.

• Exhibit familiarity with legal practice management software, with Elite 3E proficiency considered a distinct advantage.

• Hold strong commercial acumen to influence partners and manage complex cross-border billing and tax considerations.

• Maintain excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

• Display a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline alongside strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
