Warehouse Manager

Our client is a growing consumer goods and food-related business with an expanding retail and distribution network. The organization places strong emphasis on operational excellence, supply chain reliability, and quality control, and is investing in scalable logistics capabilities to support future growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee end‑to‑end warehouse activities including inbound receiving, storage, picking, packing, and outbound distribution
• Ensure consistent and reliable supply to all retail locations with strong service levels
• Maintain high inventory accuracy and enforce disciplined warehouse processes
• Uphold strict cold chain management standards and ensure proper handling of food products
• Monitor temperature control processes, implement corrective actions, and provide training where needed
• Drive a strong culture of food safety and risk awareness across the team
• Work closely with external logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
• Manage vendor performance, service levels, and cost effectiveness
• Build long‑term partnerships focused on continuous improvement
• Identify and resolve operational risks that may impact store replenishment or customer experience
• Lead and support logistics improvement initiatives including workflow optimisation, system upgrades, and network expansion
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency enhancements
• Contribute to long‑term logistics strategy and operational scalability
• Lead and coach warehouse supervisors and frontline staff
• Develop team capabilities, succession plans, and accountability culture
• Foster a structured, disciplined, and people‑oriented working environment
• Standard working hours with flexibility required
• Availability for shift work, including weekends and public holidays, depending on operational needs

Requirements:

• >8 years of experience in logistics and warehouse management
• Background in FMCG, food supply chain, or cold chain environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution processes
• Hands‑on experience in cold chain logistics and food safety handling standards
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing supervisors
• Experience working with 3PL and external logistics partners
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to drive cost optimisation and process improvement
• Exposure to logistics projects (e.g. process redesign, system upgrades, expansion initiatives)
• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of handling both operational and strategic responsibilities
