Senior System Analyst (Banking; $50-65k)

The company is a leading banking institution in Hong Kong, with solid business across APAC. It is looking for a System Analyst for banking apps.

Analyze, design, develop, enhance, and maintain ATM, Debit/Credit Card, and related payment applications within the bank's card and payment systems landscape.
Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders, translate them into functional and technical specifications, and provide solution recommendations.
Perform system analysis, impact assessment, solution design, and technical documentation for new initiatives, enhancements, and regulatory changes.
Develop and support applications primarily using Java and Python technologies across distributed and enterprise environments.
Collaborate with business users, vendors, infrastructure teams, architects, and project managers to deliver system solutions.
Manage end-to-end system development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Coordinate and support system integration with ATM switches, card management systems, payment gateways, host systems, and third-party vendors.
Support system upgrades, migration activities, and technology modernization initiatives.
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system integration testing (SIT), and production rollout activities.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in system analysis, design, development, and support of banking applications.
Proven experience in ATM, Card Management, Debit/Credit Card, or Payment Systems within the banking or financial services industry.
Strong hands-on experience in Java application development and support.
Good experience in Python development, scripting, and automation.
Solid understanding of payment processing, card transaction lifecycle, ATM/POS systems, and related banking operations.
Experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g., Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Strong knowledge of system integration technologies, APIs, messaging, and batch processing.
Experience with Unix/Linux environments and production support activities.
Knowledge of COBOL and mainframe environments is an advantage but not mandatory.
Strong commands in both Chinese (Cantonese, ideally) and English is necessary.
