Senior Risk and Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage operational risk-related activities in Hong Kong, including client complaints, legal case investigations, operational risk incidents, and mishandling reports.
• Support the Divisional Control Office (DCO) in executing risk governance initiatives, policies, and approval processes in line with divisional mandates.
• Assist the APAC and Hong Kong Private Banking Divisional Control Officers in local risk governance forums and control-related matters.
• Partner closely with Private Banking North Asia and the Hong Kong Relationship Center on risk and control issues.
• Conduct risk assessments and analysis on client-specific matters from a business and operational risk perspective.
• Engage proactively with key stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Trading Desk, Compliance, Legal, COO office, and regional DCO teams.
• Prepare risk trend analysis and management reports to enhance risk awareness and support informed decision-making.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in private banking, risk management, operational control, or business/process control functions
• Strong understanding of private banking products and business operations
• Demonstrated risk control mindset with the ability to balance business growth and risk management objectives
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
