Senior Revenue Controller / Commercial Finance Manager (APAC)

We are partnering with a leading global professional services and business advisory firm, they are rapidly scaling its APAC footprint. To support this growth, they are appointing a Senior Revenue Controller / Commercial Finance Manager (APAC) in Hong Kong. Reporting to the regional Head of Finance, you will act as the commercial bridge between finance and client-facing Partners across Asia, driving revenue forecasting accuracy, optimizing project pricing, and protecting operational margins.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key commercial finance business partner to Partners and Practice Leaders across the APAC region.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance on project profitability, client engagements, resource allocation, and commercial decision-making.
  • Lead and manage the regional sales and revenue forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and consistency across business units.
  • Challenge pipeline assumptions and identify risks and opportunities within recurring and project-based revenue streams.
  • Develop and enhance pricing frameworks, commercial models, and client billing structures across advisory practices.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including WIP, utilization rates, realization metrics, and overall margin delivery.
  • Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities and deliver meaningful commercial insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent is essential.
  • Minimum 8 years of finance experience gained within professional services, consulting, business advisory, advertising, or other project-based environments.
  • Strong expertise in WIP management, utilization tracking, realization analysis, project billing models, and revenue recognition.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior client-facing stakeholders while maintaining commercial governance.
  • Hands-on experience in project profitability analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and revenue performance management.
  • Experience with ERP platforms and commercial reporting tools; NetSuite exposure is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
