Senior Manager, Fixed income operations

This is a high-impact role supporting a diverse trading business across global markets, with exposure to complex products and ongoing transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes including Fixed Income, Rates, Credit, Commodities, and derivatives
• Ensure smooth execution of trade support activities such as booking, confirmation, settlement, and regulatory reporting
• Manage daily reconciliations and proactively resolve breaks, discrepancies, and operational issues
• Act as the escalation point for complex or high-risk items, ensuring timely resolution and strong risk controls
• Lead and supervise a small team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management
• Partner closely with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to enhance processes and support new product initiatives
• Drive operational improvements, including system enhancements, automation, and change initiatives
• Support regulatory reporting requirements and liaise with auditors and regulators when required
• Monitor operational risk and contribute to strengthening the overall control framework through continuous improvement

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Middle Office / Trade Support within an investment bank or securities firm
• Strong knowledge of multi-asset products, including derivatives and structured products; experience with exotic instruments is advantageous
• Proven experience managing end-to-end trade lifecycle processes across global markets
• Team leadership experience with the ability to manage stakeholders and handle high-pressure situations
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting obligations (e.g. HKTR) and audit engagement
• Demonstrated involvement in system implementations, UAT, or process improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and relevant front-to-back or reconciliation systems
• Degree-qualified in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
