(Senior) Data Engineer (Cloud/ DevOps/ BI)- 40-60k

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support implementation of data analytics initiatives, including business reporting and self-service, advanced analytics modelling, data platform and related application development
• Manage and support data engineering tasks on cloud, including cloud service provisioning, integration, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, sizing and monitoring
• Adopt DevOps practices in system development, including CI/CD process, automated pipelines, script-based development/deployment
• Participate in IT projects following project governance standards, including user requirement study, system analysis and design, system development/deployment and testing, system cutover/rollout, documentation, maintenance and support
• Collaborate with IT vendor(s) in medium-to-large sized projects for solution planning, design and deliverables review, technical support activities

Requirements:

• A recognized university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent
• Demonstrated data engineering skills, preferably in cloud technologies including Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory, SQL DB, DataBricks, Power BI) and AWS
• Solid experience in data and analytics solution design, ETL/ELT, data warehousing and data visualization/reporting
• Solid experience in medium-to-large sized analytics and/or IT projects with demonstrated knowledge in system development life cycle (SDLC)
• DevOps and agile project delivery experience are highly preferred
• Proficient in Python, R and/or other analytics related programming languages
• Project and vendor management experience are advantage
• Capable in handling multiple projects and work under pressure
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good project documentation and report writing ability
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
