Senior Credit Control Officer - Trading

We are partnering with a well-established international trading company to hire a Credit Control Officer for their finance team. This position offers a great opportunity to develop expertise in credit risk management, accounts receivable operations, and process improvement while working closely with commercial stakeholders in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit assessments for new and existing customer accounts to support commercial decisions.
• Review credit applications and perform credit risk evaluations in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor customer credit limits and maintain accurate, up-to-date credit information.
• Partner with sales and customer service teams to balance business growth with effective risk management.
• Manage accounts receivable collections through proactive follow-up via phone calls and email correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve customer disputes, payment queries, and collection-related issues promptly.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, including process enhancement and digitalization projects.
• Prepare and process billing documentation, including invoices, credit notes, and supporting records.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, collections, or related finance functions.
• Strong understanding of credit assessment, customer risk analysis, and collection processes.
• Experience working within trading, distribution, manufacturing, or commercial environments is advantageous.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
