Senior Cloud Project Manager (Huawei Cloud) - ($65-80k/m)

The company is a leading financial institution, which is working on cloud migration with Huawei cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of enterprise workloads from existing public cloud platform to Huawei Cloud within a hybrid cloud architecture.
• Define and execute migration strategy, roadmap, and detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
• Manage cross-functional teams (cloud architects, engineers, security, network, and application teams) across multiple regions and vendors.
• Oversee hybrid cloud design and implementation, ensuring seamless integration between on-premise systems and Huawei Cloud services.
• Drive risk management, issue resolution, and contingency planning throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements during and after migration.
• Coordinate with Huawei Cloud stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal business units to ensure successful delivery.
• Track project milestones, budgets, and resources, providing regular status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Establish governance frameworks, migration standards, and best practices for cloud adoption and optimization.
• Lead post-migration stabilization, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate change management, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 5 years leading large-scale cloud migration or transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience in migrating workloads between public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with Huawei Cloud services.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures, networking, security, and infrastructure design.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent required; cloud certifications (Huawei, AWS, Azure, or GCP) strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and data protection standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and resource planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and risk mitigation.
• Strong commands in both Chinese and English for spoken and written.
