Senior Cloud Engineer - investment institution ($45-55k)

This is a leading financial institution in investment sector. They are hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer as a new headcount to support the team expansion for cloud-related projects in demand.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning and configuration
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable deployments
  • Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and cost; optimize cloud resources accordingly
  • Troubleshoot incidents and provide operational support for production environments
  • Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud-based solutions
  • Support cloud migration initiatives and modernization of legacy systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5-10 years' work experience in IT, specifically in cloud engineering
  • Proven experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and regulatory considerations in financial services is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Good communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
