Senior Business Analyst

Core Responsibilities

  • Operational Process Re-engineering: Map, analyze, and optimize "as-is" vs. "to-be" operational workflows for core functions, specifically Underwriting (UW) and Claims processing.
  • Core System Transformation: Lead requirement-gathering workshops to translate policy admin, underwriting rules, and claims adjudication logic into comprehensive functional specifications for the new core system revamp.
  • Functional Specification: Draft high-quality Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and data-mapping matrices.
  • Client-Facing Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for end-client operational heads, constructively challenging legacy workflows to align with modern, automated system capabilities.
  • UAT & Quality Assurance: Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, design critical test scenarios for complex underwriting/claims edge cases, and oversee business sign-off.\

Key Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 5-8 years of dedicated Business Analysis experience strictly within the Insurance sector.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of Insurance Operations, with hands-on experience handling Underwriting and Claims business logic (Life, GI, or Health).
  • Project Track Record: Proven experience participating in large-scale Core Insurance System Revamp / Policy Administration System (PAS) migrations or upgrades.
  • Interview & Start Readiness: Must be comfortable with an accelerated interview process (Fast-track to meet the end-client directly after a successful initial screening) and available to start immediately (ideally tomorrow).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Cantonese to confidently manage direct client engagements.
