Senior Application Developer

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Write codes based on the functional specification provided by the Head of Development
  • Perform continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
  • Design prototype for UI/UX
  • Full stack of development tools and technologies while continuously improving with agile processes
  • Coordinate with database analyst for building database schema and setting up required database infrastructure and required permission
  • Coordinate with vendors and dev teams to develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions
  • Communicate task and product backlogs development timelines with application developer peers within Hong Kong and other regional offices
  • Participate in daily scrum or daily standup
  • Vendor management and development distribution
  • Manage external developers
  • Assists in the development needed for API and integration scripts
  • Participate in requirements gathering

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related disciplines
  • 8+ years of full-stack hands-on experience in web application development, ideally with experience in a cloud-enabled services environment
  • Proficiency with one of the JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, AJAX, JSON, Redux and TypeScripts (client-side development stack)
  • Proficiency with C#/.NET Core and Node.JS (Server-side development stack)
  • Good understanding in:
    • MS Azure, Kubernetes (AKS) container orchestration services
    • CI/CD practices for performing automated deployments in cloud platforms
    • Azure microservices-based architecture
    • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), code versioning tools, and controls, such as VSTS and GIT
    • In-memory data structure store, used as a database, cache, and message (Redis)
  • Experienced in SQL, Azure SQL, and knowledge in DW is plus
  • NoSQL databases experience is a plus
  • Enthusiastic and high level of interest in the latest technology tools and frameworks
