Position Summary

Client has a wide variety of IT systems that have been developed on a local and global level. These systems are managed by APAC IT team members all around the world. They work within a Global organization using global processes and standards but fulfilling also the local service requirements.

The APAC Retail team focus on the IT strategy and landscape that is relevant to the retail operations of the business. The team manages the applications, hardware (e.g. POS, counter iPads) and infrastructure for the retail operations across the APAC region. Interfaces between retail and other systems are also the responsibility of this team.

The Retail Applications Manager is responsible for the implementation capability within this team, which includes deployment of technologies as well as processes.

this is a regional role where travel and regional awareness of issues is to be expected.

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide leadership in addressing complex issues that need more overall process knowledge and knowledge of the overall architecture and collaborate with vendors and other APAC IT groups to coordinate and resolve cross-functional issues

  • Lead and manage implementation of retail projects
  • Issue weekly status reports detailing all internal and external costs, both capital and expense
  • Create, manage and track the full scale project plans
  • Coordinate and manage project resources
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Financially and functionally close the project per ELC guidelines
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results
  • Plan and coordinate project handover activities (hand over from deliverables and knowledge from a project to the Application Maintenance teams) for the area of responsibility
  • Build and maintain relationship with support teams and Process Leads

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree Holder
  • At least 5 years work related experience
  • 7 to 10 years of Retail IT experience with at least 3 to 5 years focusing on Retail CRM Applications
  • Oracle Micros "Relate" CRM experience will definitely be a big plus
  • 5+ Experience and good knowledge of project management techniques
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant business processes and way of working
  • Certification in project management preferred
  • Proven experience in people management
  • Proven experience in risk management
  • Proven experience in change management
  • Proficient in project management software
  • knowledge and experience with Retail Pro or similar retail solutions
