Our client is a leading financial institution. They are currently seeking a hands-on Business Project Manager to deliver enhancement of an existing internal system.
Job Duties
- Manage end-to-end delivery of system enhancement projects for the secretarial services function
- Act as the primary coordinator between business users, internal IT teams, and an external vendor
- Gather and clarify user requirements and expectations from business stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Oversee daily project activities, including development progress, issue tracking, and risk management
- Monitor vendor deliverables and ensure alignment with scope, quality, and timelines
- Coordinate and perform hands-on system testing, including deployment and post-release validation
- Track project progress, identify risks early, and propose mitigation actions
- Support data integration and workflow-related enhancements
- Ensure system enhancements comply with compliance-related and governance requirements
- Support system rollout to additional internal departments as part of enhancement phases
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a hands-on Project Manager in system development or enhancement projects
- Strong experience managing end-to-end project execution, not just coordination
- Comfortable working as an individual contributor without a project team
- Experience in compliance-related systems, corporate governance, or similar regulated environments
- Understanding of system integration and data flow between systems
- Solid risk management and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments preferred
