NOC Lead (Network Operations Centre)($70-80k + bonus)

The company is a leading enterprise-level company, which is looking for a technically capable Network Operations Centre Lead/Engineer to manage the NOC team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a 24x7 Network Operations Centre (NOC), including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of NOC engineers.
  • Establish the NOC operating model, including shift structures, incident management processes, escalation procedures, operational runbooks, and service governance standards.
  • Manage daily NOC operations to ensure network availability, service performance, operational resilience, and compliance with agreed SLAs.
  • Act as the direct manager of the NOC team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point (L3) for complex network, security, and infrastructure incidents.
  • Lead major incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Drive proactive monitoring, event management, capacity planning, and operational reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with Network Engineering, Cloud, Security, and Project teams to ensure smooth service transitions and operational readiness.
  • Implement automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Provide regular service performance, incident, and operational updates to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Candidates with experience in financial institutions, banking, insurance, capital markets, government bodies, public sector organisations, telecommunications providers, healthcare, or other mission-critical environments will be highly regarded.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Network Operations, Infrastructure Operations, or NOC environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven people management experience, including building, leading, and developing technical operations teams.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, transforming, or scaling a 24x7 NOC or operational support function.
  • Strong hands-on technical expertise in:
    • Enterprise Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
    • SD-WAN and WAN technologies
    • LAN/WAN infrastructure
    • VPN and remote connectivity solutions
    • Network Security and Firewalls
    • Wireless Networking
    • Data Centre and Cloud Connectivity
  • Proven capability to perform advanced L3 troubleshooting and lead the resolution of critical network incidents.
  • Experience with network monitoring and observability platforms such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, LogicMonitor, Datadog, ThousandEyes, or similar solutions.
  • Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS networking services and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, APIs) is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, decision-making, and incident leadership skills.
  • Excellent commands in both English and Chinese.
