Responsibilities
- Monitor network, system, and infrastructure performance using NOC monitoring tools.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and incident response for network, server, and connectivity issues.
- Identify, analyze, and escalate alarms, incidents, and service outages according to established procedures.
- Monitor WAN, LAN, internet connectivity, VPN, and cloud network services to ensure service availability.
- Log, track, and update incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents within defined SLA targets.
- Perform routine operational tasks, including system health checks, backup verification, and service monitoring.
- Support scheduled maintenance activities, system upgrades, and change implementations during business and non-business hours when required.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation, incident reports, and shift handover records.
- Participate in 24x7 shift operations and on-call support when assigned.
- Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) activities and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, security policies, and IT service management processes.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in network operations, IT support, system administration, or a related technical role; fresh graduate will also be considered
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, routing, switching, VPN, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux operating systems, and basic server administration.
- Understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management, is preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Cantonese and Mandarin are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 shift-based operation, including weekends and public holidays.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, ITIL Foundation, Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent are preferred.
