Merchandising Director (Apparel; 85k)

Our client is a top tier US apparel manufacturer. They are currently looking for a Merchandising Director to manage their product cycle and overall brand strategies in Hong Kong and China.

Reporting to the regional VP, your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for all business for the assigned brand in Hong Kong and China
• Lead a team of 6 and take full ownership of the profit and loss
• Oversee the entire product line process including research, design, development, production and launch
• Take lead in overall brand strategies including assortment, pricing and margin
• Take lead in improvement for the product cycle to maximize brand's competitiveness
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure brand's performance

To qualify, one must possess:

• Degree holder with at least 8 years of merchandising and product development experience within the apparel / fashion industry
• Proven track record of team management
• Good business sense and number sensitive
• Proactive, independent with good communication skills
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
