Marketing Intelligence Specialist - Electronic Components

Our client is an international manufacturing and engineering company. They are currently looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Market Intelligence Specialist to join their team in Hong Kong.
In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping strategic decisions by delivering actionable insights on markets, competitors, customers, and industry trends across the industrial sector. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product, supply chain, and leadership to support growth initiatives, identify opportunities, and anticipate market shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research on size, growth trends, demand drivers, and industry dynamics
  • Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and technological developments impacting key markets
  • Build and maintain market models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
  • Track competitor strategies, pricing, product portfolios, and positioning. Develop competitor profiles and benchmarking frameworks
  • Analyze customer segments, behaviors, and value drivers
  • Provide insights for product launches, market entry, and expansion initiatives
  • Leverage data tools and external sources to generate clear, actionable insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, consulting, commercial analytics, or market research, gained within industrial sectors
  • Strong expertise in market research methodologies, including primary and secondary research
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing analytics, including SEO (search engine optimization) and SEM (search engine marketing) concepts and performance metrics
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
  • Solid commercial acumen with a clear understanding of revenue, cost, and profitability drivers
  • Experience in competitive intelligence, market modeling, and strategic analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese is required.
