Marketing Director - Consumer Brand | Distributor Markets

Our client is a fast-growing international consumer goods brand. To support their expanding footprint in Asia Pacific, they are now seeking a Regional Marketing Director to lead their export marketing strategy and elevate execution across distributor markets.
As Regional Marketing Director, you will play a critical role in driving brand growth across distributor-led markets. You will develop regional strategies while ensuring effective local market execution through partners, balancing global brand consistency with local market relevance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the regional marketing strategy across distributor/export markets, including market prioritisation, go-to-market frameworks, and identification of growth opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with distributors and equip them with marketing toolkits, campaigns, and brand guidelines to drive effective in-market execution
  • Drive marketing capability building across distributor networks and ensure alignment with company strategy
  • Own the end-to-end product marketing agenda, including portfolio strategy, product positioning, pricing, lifecycle management, new product development (NPD), and go-to-market execution to drive growth across markets
  • Lead the development of scalable regional campaigns while maintaining consistent brand positioning across markets
  • Partner closely with Sales and distributors to drive sell-in and sell-out performance across channels including retail, e-commerce, and wholesale
  • Develop and implement trade marketing programs to improve in-market visibility and conversion
  • Enable distributors to strengthen digital marketing and e-commerce capabilities, including performance marketing and CRM frameworks
  • Establish KPIs to track distributor marketing effectiveness and optimise ROI across markets
  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional marketing team and foster strong cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of marketing experience within consumer goods / FMCG, with a strong track record in export markets and distributor-led business models
  • Proven experience leading and driving regional marketing strategies through indirect channels and driving growth across diverse markets
  • Strong exposure to trade marketing and channel development, with the ability to link marketing strategies to commercial outcomes
  • Deep understanding of distributor and partner-led go-to-market models, including enabling and influencing partners to execute effectively
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Strategic yet hands-on, with the ability to balance global brand consistency with local market adaptability
  • Strong commercial acumen and data-driven mindset, with experience in performance tracking and ROI optimisation
  • Proficiency in English is a must.
