Logistics Manager, LCL Freight - In-house / 40k

My client is a top tier consumer retail and ecommerce MNC. With their revenue and stock price nearly doubled since 2020, they are rapidly expanding globally. Looking to reinforce their APAC logistics process, they are now in search of a Logistics Manager to manage their international shipping and ocean freight relationships.

You will be managing their international shipping operations and ocean freight relationship. You will be communicating and collaborating with agents, carriers, and destination team to ensure space allocation and contract execution. As the Logistics Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to Senior Manager and manage shipping operation as an individual contributor
  • Managing relationships and interactions with agents and carriers' to ensure efficient international shipping operations
  • Serving as the key contact point and escalation point for LCL shipping within APAC region
  • Coordinating with agents and destination teams on container bookings, allocation strategies and contract execution
  • Driving improvements with agents and site managers through understanding of custom regulation or regulation changes
  • Identifying major KPI for general reporting to further streamline logistics layout and process

To qualify, one must possess:

  • Degree holder with at least 4 years of international shipping management experience
  • Experience managing either LCL or FCL would be considered
  • Experience handling Asia to Europe or US/Canada route would be an advantage
  • Freight forwarder, 3PL or in-house experience would be considered
  • Proven track record with operation management
  • Responsible, proactive, energetic with strong communication skills
  • Strong command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
