Junior Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Desktop Support (L1/L2): Deliver daily operational IT and desktop support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and local connectivity issues.
  • Alarm Monitoring & Escalation: Actively monitor infrastructure alerts and system alarms; strictly follow established protocols to escalate incidents efficiently.
  • Cross-Border Collaboration: Act as the primary local point of contact for the main Command Centre in India, ensuring seamless coverage, handovers, and joint incident resolution.
  • Vendor & Third-Party Management: Coordinate directly with external vendors and technical teams in India to resolve escalated infrastructure or system issues.
  • Operational Readiness: Support system status monitoring and operations during weekends or Public Holidays as required by the shift roster.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in IT desktop support, infrastructure monitoring, or command centre operations.
  • Command Centre Exposure (Must-Have): Proven experience in system alarm monitoring, incident handling, and working alongside a centralized command centre environment.
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Cantonese. Ability to articulate technical issues clearly when collaborating with overseas teams is critical.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a 5-day rotating shift pattern, which includes overnight shifts and coverage during Public Holidays.
  • Attributes: A cooperative team player with strong communication skills, comfortable interacting with diverse, multi-cultural teams across different geographies.
