IT ops and Helpdesk Support, Banking, 45k

Our client is a well-established bank with a great presence in Hong Kong. This role supports enterprise IT transformation and process improvement initiatives, while managing Windows and Microsoft 365 end‑user computing operations. The role requires strong communication, coordination, and vendor leadership skills, with experience in large-scale corporate or financial services environments.

Job Duties:

  • Support and deliver IT transformation projects, including system changes, workflow improvements, and operational readiness
  • Drive process improvement across IT projects and business-as-usual support
  • Oversee Windows and M365 deskside / helpdesk operations to ensure stable, high-quality end-user services
  • Coordinate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure smooth project and operational delivery
  • Manage and monitor vendor teams, including service quality and performance
  • Provide guidance on Windows desktop, endpoint security, patching, and upgrades
  • Review end-of-support hardware/software and plan upgrades or replacements
  • Assist with budget planning, proposals, and resource coordination
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, risk controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop team capability through coaching and knowledge sharing
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Windows desktop and end‑user computing support
  • Strong hands-on experience with M365 and windows platform
  • 3+ years in a team lead or management role
  • Practical experience in IT helpdesk or deskside support operations
  • Proven experience managing or leading vendor / outsourced teams
  • Experience in IT system transformation or process improvement projects
  • Experience in large-scale corporations; financial services industry experience preferred
  • Project management experience (PMP is an advantage)
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus
