IT Controls & Governance (1.5 LOD) - Banking - Hong Kong

Key responsibilities

  • Represent IT department in formulation and execution of regulatory compliance and risk requirements
  • Handle regulatory related matters on IT projects and services
  • Ensure compliance requirements, and controls are appropriately identified, assessed, evaluated, understood and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Establish processes, controls and regular compliance status reporting on departmental level
  • Report and escalate compliance and risk related issues in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Satisfy external regulatory filing under endorsement of Compliance Officer and respective leaders in IT department
  • Provide advice to IT staff and serve as focal point between stakeholders and IT staff
  • Work in collaboration with other HK Business Unit compliance and risk staff for holistic compliance and risk management
  • Work in collaboration with regional stakeholders to leverage artifacts and experience
  • Promote and formulate execution strategy to uplift compliance and risk awareness/fulfilment in the IT department
  • Carry out training on IT regulatory, risk and internal control topics
  • Conduct risk and control assessment, drive risk mitigation actions, document, track and report

Hiring requirements

  • Strong technical background with 1st LOD hands-on exposure within banking environment
  • Strong risk management sense; knowledge of latest technology development and insurance business an advantage
  • HKMA regulatory knowledge on IT related topics
  • Good interpersonal communication, management and presentation skills
